NFL Draft Grades
This years draft brought some big, some big time players and some big surprises. Some players will go on to be big stars others will go on to be draft busts. Ill be giving each team in the NFC North a draft grade.
The Green Bay Packers
Offense Picks- 3rd round WR Ty Montgomery, A quick wide out that can beat players and get Aaron Rodgers another weapon to use
5th round QB Brett Hundley, Drafted to back up Aaron Rodgers and learn from him such as Rodgers did with Brett Favre.
6th round FB Aaron Ripkowski, Drafted to replace John Kuhn. TE Kennard Backman drafted to fill the void of the packers have after recent un lucky players at the position.
Defense Picks- 1st and 2nd round Corners Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins. Drafted to help improve an already lethals secondary of the packers.
4th round LB Jake Ryan. A well needed draft pic after the packers losing AJ Hawk.
6th round DL Christian Ringo. Drafted to replace Bj Raji.
Draft Grade A
Detroit Lions
Offense Picks- 1st round OG Laken Tomlinson. A perfect fit for a well needed position. Even better pick since the lions traded to get another Olinemen.
2nd round RB Ameer Abdullah. Good replacement for Reggie Bush. The lions offense often spreads the wealth with three backs so Bell and Riddick will still be in the loop.
5th round FB Michael Burton. Drafted to replace Jed Collins
7th round OT Corey Robinson. Drafted to bring so extra back up protection for Stafford if a man goes down.
Grade B+
Chicago Bears
Offense Picks- 1st round WR Kevin White. Drafted to replace Brandon Marshall and to assist Alshon Jeffery.
3rd round OL Hroniss Grasu. Drafted to get Jay Cutler some extra protection and to help insure the fragile QB from getting injured.
4th round RB Jeremy Langford. Drafted to watch Matt Forte and possibly replace him once the seasons up.
6th round OT Tayo Fabuluje. Drafted for back up beef incase a man goes down and the teams in need of another tackle.
Defense Picks
2nd round DT Eddie Goldman. Drafted to give immediate help to the bears D-Line.
5th S Adrian Amos. Drafted to replace Charles Tillman can develop
into a solid starter.
Grade B
Minnesota Vikings
Offensive Picks- 4th round OL Tj Clemmings.This pick was a steal for the Vikings. TJ is a first round caliber player but fell due to concerns about his health.
5th round TE Mycole Pruitt. Pruitt is a multi skilled TE. His speed makes him a threat in the slot and his blocking ability makes him a force on the line. Also in the 5th round WR Stefon Diggs. Diggs is an impressive athlete. He can play outside inside or in the slot. He also has the ability to return kicks.
6th round OL Tyrus Thompson. A raw talent with great size and
strength. Capable of playing both Guard and Tackle. Shows great maturity.
7th round OL Austin Shepherd. Another multi-position linemen possible starter after the coaches mold him into their likings.
Defense Picks- 1st round Trae Waynes is another great athlete. Fits the scheme perfectly.
2nd round LB Eric Kendricks. Solid linebacker out of UCLA. Shows good intelligence and size.
3rd round DE Danielle Hunter. Great size shows round 1 talent and size.
7th round B.J. Dubose. DL. Multi-position player can play inside or out with great pass rushing abilitys
